Backcountry Super Cubs has a long track record of building quality components for our entire line of aircraft kits.

It is our goal to provide our customers the best built, best engineered, and most reasonably priced Super Cub kits in the world.

Using CNC technology to manufacture as many components as possible, we are able to keep our manufacturing costs low and our quality second to none.

We have been a pioneer in developing CNC TUBE PROFILING MACHINES.

This new machine allows us to cut our 4130 tubing very quickly with extreme accuracy.  Every joint is designed so that each tube fits tightly into the next before welding.  This allows our TIG welders to achieve perfect penetration with every weld.  We also CNC Laser cut all our steel brackets and tabs from 4130 plate.

We did not stop with the airframe; we completely 3-D modeled all of our aircraft.  This allows us to CNC router all the aluminum parts in our wings, from spars down to the skins.  Throw in some CNC machining centers and a few CNC lathes, and we are able to deliver an aircraft kit that is entirely cut from CNC machines.

This means that Backcountry Super Cubs are able to produce an incredibly accurate aircraft kit at a much lower cost, and higher quality than many of our competitors.  Every part fits the way it was designed on the computer, making assembly easy!  Because every part is consistently the same, kit after kit, future repairs are also very easy.
